Wednesday- The Furies. The Furies punish Xena with persecution and madness for not avenging the murder of her father.
Somewhat disappointing ep for me, although " I love the smell of warrior sweat in the morning" made me laugh a bit. Did not like the Furies, and boo-hiss on "She's a useless little piss-ant".

Thursday- Been There, Done That. The day is repeating and Xena must break the cycle and end a feud between two families.
LOVE this ep. It was so funny watching Xena go nuts trying to figure out why the day was repeating.

I love this ep, too....especially "Is that a hickey?" Now where do you suppose Xena would get a hickey??

Gabrielle's reaction to that was priceless. I still laugh hard every time.

Friday- We end the week with The Dirty Half Dozen. Xena and Gabrielle free four criminals to defeat Ares' newest protege Agathon.
Not a great ep. Agathon was one of the lamest villains EVER, the convicts, with the exception of Darnelle, were boring, and the plot was not very good.
One thing that was good about this ep was Gabrielle. She got to do some serious butt-kicking with that staff. She put the irritant Glaphyra in her place rather decisively. She also raised an interesting question: Was she who she was solely because of Xena, or was she going to be who she was regardless of Xena?

Monday- We start the week with The Deliverer. The grrls head to Britannia, where Xena battles Caesar and Gabrielle battles for her life against an evil cult.
Buckle up, boys and girls, because it's going to be a bumpy ride. Top 10 ep for sure. This ep was excellent and very dramatic, even if it was gut-wrenching to watch. It was horrifying watching Gabrielle be put through all that she was. From being crucified by Caesar, betrayed by Khrafstar, tricked into losing her blood innocence, and then being violently raped by Dahak, was a bit much for one ep.

Do you think this was Xena's fault exclusively or had the groundwork already been laid regardless if they had gone to Britannia?

That's a tough question. If Xena had not allowed her blind hatred of Caesar to take control, they would not have gone to Britannia, however, that doesn't mean that a similar situation could not have occured.

Tuesday- Gabrielle's Hope. Gabrielle gives birth to the child of Dahak. But while she sees the child as good, Xena is convinced it is evil.
Not quite as good as The Deliverer. The few humorous moments- Gabrielle's wierd food cravings, and Xena pulling the sword from the stone- were ok, but the fact that Xena was so quick to attempt infanticide based on circumstantial evidence that Hope killed the knight was very unsettling.

i think if xena had subdued her hatred for cesar and they had not gone to britannia than it would never have happened. all the trouble starts when u let hatred overpower the love.

Wednesday- The Debt pt.1. Xena travels to the kingdom of Chin to assassinate the Green Dragon, but her efforts are thwarted by Gabrielle.
This ep had everything going for it. Beautiful sets, excellent costuming, good casting, and another glimpse into Xena's past. So why was it not as enjoyable for me as most others? Not enough Gabrielle.

LOL....never wouldn't guessed, bardling....
On the flip side, I absolutely love both parts of this eps...a lot is revealed between our two heroines & if I ever had any complaints (not really) about the series, it's that there should've been more eps with J. Kim...I love her acting & I think she is beautiful.

LOL....never wouldn't guessed, bardling.... The Gab-light eps just can't seem to hold my interest as much as Gab-centric eps.

Alrighty, bardling, how in Tartarus can you defend your Gabby's actions this morning?? Lying there in that bed all covered up & hiding & decked in her brand new shiney kimono...hair all done, new dangly earrings....?? She did what she did out of pure jealousy, plain & simple....you could see it all over her face there on the dock when Xena told her, "yes--she owed someone so much that she could just throw away the past few years". Now I would be jealous too--those actions & revelations coming from my supposed gurlfriend....but to turn her over to the enemy....AAARRRGGGHHH!!! A bit much even though Ares did seize the moment, so to speak, & catch her at a vunerable time.....

I will admit that it was a seriously bad lapse of judgement on Gabrielle's part to do what she did.

I will admit that it was a seriously bad lapse of judgement on Gabrielle's part to do what she did. You ok this morning?? I was counting on a little more fight out of you? (All in the spirit of X/G love & affection, of course)

Thursday- The Debt pt.2. While awaiting execution for attempted assassination, Xena flashes back to the time she was saved by Lao Ma.
Two problems with this ep. The actor who played Ming Tien gets two thumbs down, and the continued character assassination of Gabrielle was not cool. Otherwise, it was better than Pt. 1.

I will admit that it was a seriously bad lapse of judgement on Gabrielle's part to do what she did. You ok this morning?? I was counting on a little more fight out of you? (All in the spirit of X/G love & affection, of course) I don't think she should have done it; however, I do not believe it was a true betrayal. The way I look at it is: Gabrielle had been told for over two years that she was the most important person to Xena, and she truly believed it. She got jealous when she found out that Lao Ma might be more important.
