You're serious, yes? Wouldn't want to put you out, you know...but please, please, please.
Just so happen to have a partial list of songs I'd like collected together for one long glide....
A couple from Mudvayne: 'Forget to Remember' and 'Fall into Sleep'
'Wish You Were Here' - Incubus
'Truth' by Seether
'Voodoo Too' - Godsmack
LMAO, MG...you've created a monster in me, you know. I can't hit the trail without one of your mixes; the only cd I ever take with that isn't yours is Chevelle's "What's Next". Damn, I love that one - wishing they'd come out with something new.
Speaking of the glide, oh my - a perfect morning for it; the first we've had in the last handful of days that it hasn't been raining. Heavy fog rolled in last night. LX was bumming this morning because most schools in our area are on a two-hour fog delay - except our town's. It's sunny now; the sky is clear here except for a few white clouds, and I'm forsaking all I had planned to do this morning. Instead I'm heading out to ski. The fog will most likely still be hanging in the woods; I love that - gliding through the mist. CD of choice? Phalon's Pholly II.
Later.
(oh - and if you were kidding about the cd, no problem. I get carried away sometimes)

You know I wasn't kidding. Let me know your wishes.
Enjoy your glide this morning. *Hugs*

I did enjoy the glide this morning; thanks. It was perfect - perfect weather, sweet scents, sweet, sweet sweat....not the scent - that was from the honeysuckle starting to bloom.
A perfect day all around. Did a bit of shopping - the best kind of shopping: stuff I didn't need, but just had to have for absolutely no reason.
My obsession for old books reared its head again; with the return of spring the used book store reopened after closing for the winter.
I bought "The Wit and Humor Library"; ten volumes, (missing Volume One), alternating between the works of British and American humorists. Published in 1917, they're in amazingly good shape; the red cloth covers barely worn at all. And only a dollar a piece!

Congrats on your treasure find! OK, I have to repeat this post here because I think these are some of the best lyrics ever recorded--and not a bad presentation, I might add. I absolutely love this song. "Unwritten"
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten
Oh, oh, oh
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way
Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten
(Repeat) It has become my "waiting to exhale" anthem.

An absolutely wonderful vacation day all the way around....except for that brief stopover at the dentist for the daily "repacking of the dry socket". *shudder* A short, beautiful drive in the country to here... Some of the beauty that was surrounding us.... Feeding some of the biggest koi I have ever seen... Our very tasty cheese & cracker & fresh strawberry basket with our "second" tray of taste-testing---we hated all 12 flavors we tried---just never could acquire a taste for wine..... The reason not to try and be photographically creative with the 'second' tray of wine---especially when one of you is wearing white capris... Feeling all warm & fuzzy with my best vacation gurl--tie-dyed capris & all!!

Correction: ....all 11 flavors we tried... We didn't actually save even one little sip of the of the one Mary is wearing.

BTW, every drop of that wine came out of those capris.

Both of us were tossing & turning all night with arthar in our joints so bad that finally we just gave in and got up with the sun this morning. Of course nothing is on TV on Sunday morning at 6am, so we watched a Xena ep from the disc that was already in the player (Fallen Angel; I know everyone is curious). After that we decided to go find a good cup of coffee. The little neighborhood cafe wasn't opened so we opted for "Panera" (fancy bakery-place), which I called "Pantera" (head-banging rock group) until well into our first cup and halfway through the spinach and artichoke souffle we were sharing. It was so beautiful a morning that we were able to sit outside and enjoy the morning sun, as well as each other. (I think I saw Mary a total of maybe four hours this whole past week). I think I heard both of us exhale more than a time or two. OK, not exactly our view this morning, but it was almost just as good in our minds.

Sounds like a wonderfully beautiful morning, Ladies. I love mornings best - early morning when all is quiet is heaven. Oh how I'd love to spend a lazy Sunday morning at a cafe with Hubs. Two kids who are up at the crack of dawn, (who the hell invented daylight savings time anyway, and why's the sun gotta rise, bang on the windows and wake them at six am?) Lazy Sunday mornings are not on the agenda.

What a wonderful, wonderful weekend it was! We absolutely had the best time together...one of the top five in our last four years together, I have to say. Saturday, we spent about four hours at the flea market and came home with several treasures that surely we could not have lived without. Books and beads and trinkets and belly rings and good-smelling stuff...the list is full! Home to get the girls off to their sleepover. 'nuff said. A tasty meal of oven-baked garlic bread with cheese and smoked oysters, a nice marinara sauce for dipping....tummies full and time for a nap! Mary was up about an hour and a half before me, but we still managed to be out by 1am. Just early enough to catch the last show at one of the local clubs and have a couple of drinks. (Actually I had only one since I was driving). After that, it's off to our favorite after-hours hotspot, Wallyworld. I love shopping when we have the whole store to ourselves. Home to breakfast and off to bed at sunrise! Up in time for our matinee and another quickie at Walmart. All good things must end, tho. I don't want to say "end"...how about "all good things must return to reality until next weekend"? That sounds better. I had a fabulous time with you, mybaby!

Wish I could send some white chocolate blueberry cream pie in that package; it is absolutely the best dessert I've ever had, and with my sweet tooth that says a lot.
Rain, rain, rain. Yes, glorious, cooling, renewing rain. Damn, we needed it. It rains all around us, but with the shape of the shoreline, the fronts split, heading both north and south, missing us completely. We've had nothing for nearly two months but a brief five minute shower or two.
Not yesterday though - it rained from mid-afternoon into the evening. Nice steady rain that everyone rejoiced in. It didn't even stop the customers at work; happily they wandered through the mud dripping wet picking out plants, or just enjoying the beautiful weather.
Foggy and misty this morning - you can feel the humidity already starting to build. I'm getting a late start, but can't resist the pull of the trail - it's so good to be out there after a rain; everything feels so fresh.

Receiving an "overpay escrow" check in the mail--a significant overpay check. Then.....someone staying home from work to help celebrate the timely arrival of said check!

I got a new vacuum yesterday; I am in love with it.
I blew the old one up a week or so ago during one of those cycles I go through: the mysterious "All Things Mechanical That Phalon Comes in Contact With Will Crumble Under Her Fingers" cycles. My car stereo blew a few days later - no sound; nothing, and though Hubs got the radio working, (although I can't pick up any of my favorite stations here, and I'm sure it's my own electrical impulses that have something to do with the static), my cassette player still won't work, and therefore neither does my cd player which plugs into the cassette. The Gator at work suddenly quit working while I was driving it. I've been there long enough for the Boss to know of these weird occurrences, and he called the mechanic without batting an eye. I'm sure all he had to say was, "Phalon drove it".
These cycles have occurred as long as I can remember, and I know they absolutely have nothing to do with klutziness. They must coincide in some way to the phases of the moon, estrogen levels, or whether or not I forgot to shave my legs that morning.
I'm home from work with a raging ear infection, and Hubs stayed home take care of me. "No really, it has nothing to do with it being a beautiful summer day and a Friday." Actually he is a good nurse; a much better nurse than I. But then again, I am a much better patient than he.
After a while, all the attention got to me, though. "Hubs, you're hovering. Go do something." Hovering...hoover...Hoover! "Go buy a vaccumm.....and this does not count as my anniversary or birthday gift!!!!"
A really cool thing, this new vacuum. Moves at the touch of a finger, and has all kinds of fancy attachments the old one did not. Doc said no strenuous physical activity, and to take it easy. What could be easier than busting the dust with this beautiful new piece of machinery? Happily - happy to do anything at this point - I went to work vacuuming everything in sight, (except the cats - although there is a pet hair sucker upper attachment).
Nurse Hubs was getting worried.
He kept peeking his head around the corner of the room, asking, "Everything okay.....you haven't blown it up yet, have you?"
Our anniversary is in two weeks, and my birthday a month after that. I wonder what good thing I can blow up within that time to get a replacement? Do diamonds blow?
