Ah, say no more. I'm going with....
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Final answer, Katman.
(unless of course I'm wrong; then maybe not the final answer... hehe)

Rest easy then cause it is your final answer, the poor old gil man is what we were after. I see on IMDb that they may be remaking it next year.

That's cool. You know I love those old b&w's. Actually we saw that one this past Saturday; I think it was Mary's first time.
Cracks me up how in those old movies everyone is smoking. I don't think anyone could perform a scene unless they were at least holding a cigarette...and it seemed like they had to re-light the same one half a dozen times. LOL.
I also saw what had to be one of the campiest B flics I have ever witnessed. I couldn't believe the line-up of names that was in it.... Anne Bancroft, Raymond Burr, Cameron Mitchell, Lee J. Cobb, and a very young and goofy-acting Lee Marvin. The name of the movie was Gorilla at Large, but I wouldn't run out too fast to try and find it, trust me.

OK, I had to do the two-minute IMDb drill for GAL and it wasn't soooo bad. It was suppose to be 3D--I didn't notice--so now I want to see it again...just for kicks and giggles, you know.
IMDb said that Ms. Bancroft spent her whole life rubbishing the film of her younger days. Hopefully she has found a cloud up there somewhere in front of a tv and she can laugh at it as I did.

I do indeed know of your love for those old b&w's; funny thing is that I saw "Creature from the Black Lagoon" just the other day also [ maybe we were watching it together ] and that's what prompted me to use it here.
You're not wrong, amazing how "cool" it was to smoke in those days.
That's a pretty impressive lineup of stars for a "b" movie; it would be fascinating to see the early efforts of many who went on to become household names, bet there would be a few howlers in there.
Not surprising you didn't pick up that it was 3D, if I remember correctly "The House of Wax" was also shot in 3D but you'd never know watching it on tv. Do you remember the scene in that where the spruiker outside the club is hitting a ball attached to a paddle directly toward the camera, just seems like a normal scene but with the use of 3D glasses I reckon you'd be ducking for cover.

OK, one we caught--again--over the weekend that still tears us up everytime....
High-profile actor playing the part of a "special" guy that goes through life overcoming obstacles to achieve forturne, fame, and national recognition--while the love of his life manages to be the most difficult prize to gain and hold onto.
Lots of running and lots of shrimp in this flic.

Was struggling a bit with this one until the very last clue which gave it to me, good flick. "Mama says life's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get next".
Forrest Gump.

Sheesh, didn't realise I was "it" on this thread, so let's get this puppy rolling again .................
A routine business trip on an almost unpopulated highway turns into a nightmare for a mild mannered family man and his life is suddenly at jeopardy; the moral of this tale, by careful who you offend on the road.

Nope not The Hitcher. The lead actor starred in two tv series, the first a long running western where he played the Deputy of the towns Sheriff, the second as a country cop transferred to the big city.

And then I got hung up here....
OK, I keep seeing Dennis Weaver pop up in my magical crystal movie ball...and that would make the movie...
Throttle?? (total guess, because I didn't see the movie. Mom burnt me out on Sam McCloud when I was a kid--never could warm up to him as an actor)
If Throttle is incorrect, should I be leaning toward something along the Clint Eastwood line?

Hey this looks like a good game, mind if I join in?
You're right about Dennis Weaver but not the title, and nope, you shouldn't be leaning toward Clint.
Think one of, if not the biggest name in directing, this was an early one of his, made for tele actually but released in cinemas in some places, oh yeah and also think of a dirty great big truck.

OK, I got the DW part, never would've gotten the movie. Don't think I ever saw Duel.
You go again. I have once again been stumped by the King. Good playing.

Ahhh righto, so it's your's truly again then, okay just let me think for a minute.
An accident on a snow covered road, impending death from exposure for a famous novelist, however rescue is at hand in the form of a woman from a nearby farm; but are his problems really over or just beginning?

This 1988 film was nominated for three awards by the Academy of Sci Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films.
It is about a man who conjurs up an evil demon to avenge the accidental death of his son by some rowdy teenaged bikers.
One of my favs.
