Hi Q. Thank you so much for burning the CDs for me. My requests not only rock but they also bring back memories from many years ago. The choices you made for the second CD were interestingly close to my style and even reflected on some music I have not heard since I was a teenager. I love it. Now I have to ask, what do I owe you. Rock on, Girl. Hubs out.

Are you kidding?! Just keep enjoying the tunes. That in itself is payment enough! And don't hesitate to drop me a list whenever. Everything on "Lady's Choice" (and pretty much all your requests) was already in my library. It was fun to hear that mix again--it's been a while. Took me down memory lane, as well! Peace and love, Hubs!

Ah....but you don't know about that super-secret gift; the thing you've asked for, wanted, and need....and the thing that by giving it to you will make my life a whole lot easier. But you'll have to wait just a little while longer.
Keep your mind out of the gutter - it's for the kitchen and hasn't come in yet.
Psst - to edit hit the "modify" thingy at the top of your post.

Q....
I can't express in words how sorry I am for your loss. My heart aches for you. Truly.
I am a God fearing man. I wont burden you with a bible thumping lecture or advice. I will say that I believe that God tests us all in many different ways, not unlike how my family and I are being tested as you know. Cindy and I live every waking day (and I in my dreams) thinking how dreadful the cards are that we have been dealt. On the other hand, we also realize just how blessed we are in many other ways.
I suspect that the healing process has begun for you now. At least I hope so. I'm sure that you will have the strenght and support from your friends and family to move on. You have to!
I have learned to cling to love, life, hope and faith. Not always in that order mind you.
Now, I have rambled on enough. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Take care,
Keith

Keith, what a sweet man you are. Thank you for taking the time to reach across the miles for a much-needed and always-appreciated hug.
I want to believe every encouraging word will help pull me out of my funk, but I'm having trouble finding the will, the motivation, the desire, or the even the energy to try and start healing. Everyday is a blur, the nights go on forever, and my heart still feels like there is a vise grip around it making every breath almost impossible. And I can't believe it's been almost two weeks. I still talk about it like it was in the past couple of days...her clean laundry is still hanging in the hallway and on top of the dryer, her towel in the bathroom, the last teas she made still in the fridge...and that's not counting all the boxes sitting around and the cot in the livingroom that I've been pretending to "sleep" on...
The world keeps turning--at what feels like warp-speed--but my life feels like it's stopped. The girls seem to be moving on--they have their whole lives...Bryan's life has changed, as much because of his sharing my pain for practically every second of every day for the past 11 days, but mine just seems to have stopped. Not sure I want it start again.
Wow. I bet you weren't expecting all that. <sigh>
Thanks for the shoulder, my friend; you're a good man. Now go give that sweet wife of yours a big squeeze and tell her how much you love her.

Dear Q,
As always,I am not current with anything. Deborah, who you recall as the person who knew about corn milk, wandered by a few days ago, read a few posts, and looked at me, eyes brimming, and told me what had happened.
You have been our thoughts. Sometimes I can still manage a small smile at the traits you share with Deborah: you two are only people I know who could sprain their shoulder scooping ice cream.
More important, Q, is the grace with which you have acted. Your bravery, honesty, openness, and gentleness did not vanish. That is grace, that is honor.
As Deborah said, we can barely even imagine the pain. She's right, it is a pain living in the soul. In an instant your world shattered. There is scant comfort to be had. But Leonard Cohen once wrote, "cracks, cracks, there are cracks in everything -- that is how the light gets through."
We both hope that you can come to feel the light.
I wish there was more we could do. You have our respect, support, and love. Use them as you need.
Johannah and Deborah
