No, I am switching out the wheels...sort of. More like adding another dimension. I'll keep the wheels for when there is not enough snow for the sticks. Sliding and gliding through this winter, I'm hoping. And there is that slick, icy snow that is oh-so-fast; my favorite slide that is more like the glide.
Thought I'd get the slide in today, but overnight it started to rain, and by the time it quit this afternoon, the snow had disappeared and the sticks were definately out; I put on the wheels instead. And even that was not really a glide at all; the snow and rain making the trails a thick muck. Hard, and I was beat; Phalon's Pholly though, got me through. Tough to not move listening to that.
And no...no forcing. You've done so much.

And also with you...
Stopped by the post office this morning to pick up a package on the way back from taking BP to preschool. OMG! Listened while folding laundry; just finished. I can not wait to try this out while sliding my way through the woods! From the looks of the forecast possibly by the end of this week. Rain now - again and it's warm outside, but extreme drop in temperatures, (does wonders for my ex-runner's knees; arthritis?), and snow; lots of it; predicted starting Wednesday.
Love the 'gams' shot on the cover too! That even fits perfectly with the type of music on this one.

So, that's a good OMG?? I know now about the NIN & the Everlast that I missed....but I love this whole mix....been listening to it for over a week now in my truck. The Cult would probably not be one of your picks either, but every time I hear that song, I think of the scene between Nick Cage & Angelina Jolie in "Gone In 60 Seconds"...great movie, good song, great scene, great line...."Good Brakes".....I know, I know---you don't do movies so you probably don't know a thing about what I'm talking about...& it's not that it necessarily reminds me of you....I just like the song. Ok, this is me, rambling on & on & on......

oh god-oh god-oh god-oh god. Is that better? LMAO.
Definitely never tired of this...or that. Great for sure...the CD...or that. Actually, I'm thinking perfect in combination, don't ya think: this with that. Skiing...isn't that what we're talking about?
Oh...and I have seen Gone in 60 Seconds....basically because Nick Cage was in it. Angelina Jolie too? Never noticed. And the Cult song? Never noticed that either. Actually, I don't remember a great deal of the movie...except Nick Cage was in it.
MG, you couldn't have picked more perfect songs - all of them. In fact, I'm not sure which I picked myself and which were your choices...except the few you mentioned. The only one I hadn't heard was the Edwin McCain one. I'm not sure who he is, but it's a pretty song.

Aw, gams....you don't know how happy that makes me to be able to share my passion with someone that appreciates it as you seem to. My tunes have never failed me...when I was a kid, we were dirt poor & my mom was so overbearingly protective of me that I never got to go anywhere! I spent hours & hours & hours with the radio & my albums & then my 8-tracks...lol.....& mom was a huge country fan, so I got all the old standards---Johnny Cash, Loretta, Conway, Hank (Sr & Jr).....etc.....I know, stop! stop! Anywho, I have always had this love of music--all music, & I love finding a kindred spirit with which to share! Damn! You always bring out the soft in me...(not many see that side...big eyeroll) Surely you remember--(I know, don't call you surely)--Angelina in the movie--she's the one who has your boy all wrapped around her gear shift--ah, little finger....?? And yes, this with that is perfect....I know, trust me....

And I do so much appreciate it, Marysgurl. I think it's too cool that you guys are so willing to share and put the effort into providing us all with music - here, and as you did at the other place.
And just as cool that I finally found someone else that'll listen to the type of stuff I like. Aside from my brother; though his taste is a bit harder than mine, and a co-worker who, oddly enough, is just like me - a mom in her forties who likes metal - I've never had anyone to talk to music with that doesn't roll their eyes. Hubs tolerates most of it; likes some of it; but more often than not cringes at the majority.
And that the music fits in with so much of what I like to do - the physical stuff - is perfect; unbelievably so. I never fail to think of you as I fit my boots into the bindings of my roller skis and head off down the trail.
Yeah, yeah...mush, mush... Onward sled dogs.

A request, Marysgurl? Wondering if you'd do this for me...considering where I'd like to use it.
"Do You Wanna Be My Girl" by Jet; it's on the first page here, (although I can't get Streamload to load now).
Is it possible that you can give me a thingy, (url or whatever they are called), so I can post it in the lyrics thread at Whoosh? Gabbin wants to hear.
Not sure if the request is outta line, and sorry if so.

Should we find a way to enhance the challenge & only post in question-form on every thread? hmmm?

Oops, didn't see the Switchfoot question there; I think you sneaked, (snuck - is that a word?), it in there when I wasn't looking.
Switchfoot; not particularly. One of LX's favorites and she's played it to death.

There you go again, sneaking stuff in.
LMAO! I've been doing that everywhere lately: posing questions instead of making statements...even when speaking. It is addicting.
And thanks; I always like to enlighten Gabbin with my musical taste. She so loves it. (rolls eyes)
