Don't you watch these shows, Jox?
I caught two eps of Grey's Anatomy last week and omg! I loved it. I can't believe I haven't watched it before. I think it comes on at the same time as CSI, right? That's probably why. There were two eps last week and once I watched the first one, I didn't even think about switching over to CSI.
It's just not the same without Grissom & Sarah.
Same with House. Now he kinda gets on my nerves in a "Horatio-from-CSI-Miami sort of way, but I still like the show.

Nope, Never watched any "Grey's Anatomy" ... but I did watch one "House" episode ... and like you, I'm not liking "CSI" since Grissom left.

I've never watched Grey's Anatomy....well, maybe once, I think; it was not memorable enough for me to tune in again. But I'm loving House - actually, the whole family is - we just started watching it a few months ago. It's taken the place of "Good Eats" as nice stand by in that 8 to 9 hour when it's too cold or wet to be outside, and nothing else is on television. They air sometimes three episodes in a row on one of the cable stations; I forgot which one but even BP knows "House" reruns come on on "channel 28". Usually in the shower, getting ready for bed and eating her snack, she doesn't watch, but alerts the rest of us it's time for House.
So damned miserable, but so damned good looking. Also so predictable it's almost laughable, but still fun.
Hubs and I are still watching CSI, but like you two, it's not really "must-see T.V" without Grissom. Sarah, I liked, but toward the end, she started bugging me - I liked both of the characters better when they weren't attached to each other.
But Thursday is still the only night I make it a point to watch television - except for a show here or there, all other nights are "if I'm not doing anything else, and if the television is on, I'll watch." But Thursdays, starting at eight pm, I park my butt on the couch, and don't leave until it's time for me to go to bed. Eight o'clock is Survivor with LX and BP; nine is CSI with Hubs and sometimes LX; and now, at ten pm there is Harper's Island by myself cuz Hubs usually hits the sack at ten on Thursdays, because Fridays are his busiest days at work. Harper's Island is one of those shows I probably shouldn't be watching by myself - too many noises in the house when everyone else is sleeping.

Maybe it's just the "change" that I'm getting into. Something new, something different, something that doesn't remind me of evenings spent on the couch watching with Mary...or watching Mary while she watched. <smile>
And I'm not gonna skip over the fact that both shows have gay couples--well, Dr. Hadley goes both ways--but both are tastefully done. And you might as well just accept the fact--we're everywhere! I loved her line Monday night when she was securing her invite to the bachelor party..."There's a good chance that after a few drinks, I'll either make out with one of the strippers or become one." Naturally the boys were all over that. She's alright, but I think Dr. Cuddy is more my type. And she's got it so bad for House--they're going to kiss next week!
I haven't watched Harper's Island yet. It looks like my kind of show. Maybe I should check it out since it's good enough to keep you glued to the couch alone, even with all the spookies.
I tried a couple of eps without Grissom, and I know what you're saying about Sarah toward the end--she got weird, but I guess that was part of her progression off the show. I'm sure they're happy off in the rain forest collecting bugs and snapping pictures.
New shows and already missed five seasons of each! Pfft. I might watch old House, but probably not GA.

Haven't seen either of those shows, seen a few previews of "House" and have the feeling five minutes of that bloke would drive me up the wall, guess to be fair I should actually watch a full episode though. Anyone caught a show called "Breaking Bad" which airs on the Showcase channel here, the first series was cut back to seven eps because of the recent writers strike, with a further thirteen screening later this year. Superb show right up there with "Dexter" in quality, sheesh remember the days when the heroes were white knights like Matt Dillon and Marcus Welby etc. etc. now my two favs are a seriel killer and a drug dealer.

I've seen the previews from "Breaking Bad", Kat, but never watched an ep. It seemed kinda far out to me in the commercial. But..just like you, perhaps that's a bad call on my part since I haven't watched the show.
Grey's Anatomy couldn't hold my attention tonight, but neither could CSI. I found a rerun of House on another channel and that's where it stayed!
Lol. Two stand-bys on the old black and white set in our home, too! Mom loved Matt Dillon; I was more drawn to Miss Kitty--even waaay back then. But now I did think James Brolin was a cutie as Dr. Steven Kiley.
My favorite doctor show back then and by far the manliest of men was Chad Everett as Dr. Joe Gannon in Medical Center. Remember that one?

I was more drawn to Miss Kitty-- That makes two of us champ. My favorite doctor show back then and by far the manliest of men was Chad Everett as Dr. Joe Gannon in Medical Center. Remember that one? Vaguely, very vaguely as a matter of fact, although I do recall Chad Everett who seemed to pop up in stacks of shows back then. My two favourite doc shows were "Dr. Kildare" and "Ben Casey" with the always smiling, always friendly Vince Edwards in the lead role. Be interested in your thoughts on "Breaking Bad" if you happen to catch it at some time.
