Aw, thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone. I got the sweetest card in the mail from a friend; got all choked up when I read it. Thanks, Sis.
The cake (antless, I'm sure) will wait until Saturday, which is Hubs' birthday. It worked out nice this year; my boss asked if I'd switch my weekend days this week, so I have Saturday off, and we'll celebrate both our birthdays then. Of course....since I'm going to the grocery today, I just might pick up a cake while I'm there. No such thing as too much cake when it's your birthday, and calories don't count this week anyway.
Happy Unbirthday, Ana - getting it in early just in case I miss the day, (you'll learn as time goes on that I'm not the most punctual person). I'm sure Q will give a reminder though, so I won't miss it completely. But extra wishes when it comes to birthdays are just like cake: you can never have too many.

Happy Birthday Gams, hope your day was a great one as will Saturday be when you have the double celebration. Wish Hubs a HB for me as well if you'd be so kind. If I sneak here will I find a little leftover cake?

Thanks Angel and Katina for the birthday wishes.
And yes, Ana - everyone's invited to the party, and Katina, there will be lots of leftover cake. Help yourself....please; cuz if you don't eat it, I will, and I hear the older a person gets the more likely it'll be that cake is detrimental to one's thighs.
Gotta keep the gams looking like gams and not hamhocks, yanno. (what the heck is a hamhock anyway?)

Google: What are ham hocks?
WikiPedia: Ham hock
A ham hock or hough is the joint between the tibia/fibula and the metatarsals of the foot, where the foot was attached to the hog's leg. It is the portion of the leg that is neither part of the ham proper nor the foot or ankle, but rather the extreme shank end of the leg bone and the associated skin, fat, tendons, and muscle.

Now I wouldn't do this for just anybody you understand Gams, but seeing as how I like you so much I'll help you out and "force" myself to a helping [ or three ]

Katina!!! I found something better than cake! Apple-cider doughnuts fresh from the winery/cider mill. OMG! Hurry and eat some while they're still warm.

Happy Birthday, Ana! And if I'm a day late because of the time zone, celebrate again today! Cheers.
