OK...done and done. Time for a change. I want to thank everyone for all the love and support over the past year and for keeping the hug a day thread alive and kicking...especially during the times when all I wanted to do was just lay down and die. I think I've been avoiding the place because right now it feels like looking back to me. And I can't do that anymore. I still have difficult moments...and I guess there will always be..."things"....songs, memories, etc. that tug at the heartstrings, but I'm too happy right now to let it bring me down. Almost as quickly as the past was gone, the future swept me up and has flown me to the stars! So, I closed a couple of the old threads and opened a new one! Just like closing doors and opening windows...or something like that! Anyway, there's lots of good food in the fridge, good tunage on the jukebox (and a new game in the music thread), the bar is stocked, and the coffee pot is set to "sludge". I've tried to make everyone's favorites, so enjoy and don't be strangers! I love you all very much!

Ah...thank you, my sweet girl! I do appreciate the support....(and the love, of course)! And yes, this is the place to check in everyday...leave hugs...tell a joke...rant if you need to...tell us what's going on in your world for the day...just somewhere that will hopefully have a new feel for everyone. It's kinda gloomy here today...a little cooler and rainy. But no matter! It's sunny--and warm--in my heart! Off to get my shower...so I can totally rock again at work today!!

It's cool outside, but hot here in the house. The sun heats the house up, and it isn't cool enough outside to keep the house from holding onto the heat. If I put shorts on in the house, I forget and run outside for a minute and get a wake up call. I think that's why my sinuses are giving me major pain right now. Hot & cold instead of a steady temp. Of course, when it gets 30 below outside I'm gonna want the house to keep the heat, but it won't then.
Q ... I was a bit worried I might have been rushing you to 'let it all go' before you were ready ... so that is why I waited until you locked the thread to stop posting to it. I did let a day go by every now and again, but I'd feel guilty and post to it again. And then feel guilty. Was I being too pushy, or was I not backing off when I should.
If you're up for me cleaning out the boards, just lock up all the threads you're ready to have moved, and I'll archive them. They can always be brought back should you find you weren't ready. So glad you're doing better. Hmm, I wonder if the first year is the hardest because 'we' can't let go, or because the 'loved one' we lost can't let go? Maybe it takes 'them' the year to be okay with being gone, and once they're okay with it they release us and let us move on. Weird thought, but it just popped into my head, and so I share it here.

Thanks, Jox. Archive away, my friend. It's all good...it will be all good. That is an interesting thought about the year thing. Makes perfect sense to me. I believe Mary was indirectly responsible for me being able to get past all the "tough weeks"...our anniversary, her birthday...her death...the Out of Darkness Suicide Survivor's Walk this weekend. I could feel her pushing me in the direction of the girls and "releasing" me...and then "someone" new coming along with the same exact birthday to distract me...what are the odds?? Anyway, I think I'm going to be just fine. Love & hugs to you, xengab! Where are the cookies to go with our coffee?? Always good to see you. Give Vlad and the boys a hug for me!

I did go ahead and move most of the threads made before 2008. Some boards had so few threads that I left most of the old ones. If there are any you feel you need moved, just lock them up and I'll take care of them.

Is that the sweet aroma of sludge I smell wafting in the air? BP told me yesterday that coffee was icky, was the color of dirt, but it sure smelled good. She obviously has a lot left to learn, but she's on her way.
Joxie...while you're cleaning up the place, is it possible to give the imp a make-over? Since Halloween is over, (sniff), she's ready to get back to her good old self.
Later, Sweet Taters.

It has been the most absolutely gorgeous weekend here! Just got back from roller-skiing....in a t-shirt! Could have worn shorts too, and not at all been uncomfortably cold, but I've had my summer clothes packed away for next year since mid-September.
Hope it was just as nice for your walk yesterday, Q. Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend as much as I am.
Later, Sweet Taters.

Oops...and thanks, Joxie. I just noticed the Imp's been stashed away until next year too, (I hope she doesn't have moth-like tendencies, and chew holes in my summer clothes).

It's been so beautiful here, too! Roller-skiing in shorts...in November...in Michigan!! How cool (or not so much) for you, sis. I'm glad you got to enjoy the it in one of your favorite ways.
A little cloudy here today, but still warm enough to have the windows open. I love it, of course. No heat on, no air on...and cool enough for a fire at night. Perfecto!!
Sundays and Mondays are my weekend, so I'm enjoying my day off...catching up around the house, on the computer, cooking a little...rosemary lentils to share with a couple of the ladies at work tomorrow and pasta for a little salad for me! The house sure smells good.
Love and hugs to all!!

This place has a very homely feel about it, think I'll be quite comfy here. As long as there's fresh bread and a plentiful supply of Vegemite there'll be no complaints from me, oh and cool drinks as well. Great to see you've got to the stage where you no longer feel the need for the other thread champ. Been very warm here with temps well above normal for this time of year requiring the cooler to be pressed into service, if this keeps up there's gonna be some decent electricity bills coming up ........ oh well it's only money as the old saying goes. Hope everyone's well.

Great to see you've got to the stage where you no longer feel the need for the other thread champ. Good to see you, Kat! Been missing you a little. I don't know about that Vegemite stuff. Haven't we discussed that many times before already?? And yes, it feels good to be more like the old Quetta again. I had my doubts for a long time that she would ever be back again. I'm very happy and going thru thousand of changes in my life, I hope everything turns out OK ;D Has been a very good weekend, like every weekend in the past month hehehehe Hola, mi amor! It's nice to see you finding the time to stop in... Don't worry about all those changes, baby. It's just all part of growing and gaining wisdom. It will continue to happen the rest of your life...trust me! And you know that you'll always have me to help with the "adjustments". Sunny here and leaves are busy falling. Going outside to pretend to clean them up. Angel...I have a front yard and a back yard full already! And no one again this year to help with the raking! And no blower! Pfft. Are you interested in a barter of sorts?? I got some kitchen skills.... Peace, love, and hugs to all...and Happy Hump Day!

Sorry I missed this, sis. I didn't get to walk...couldn't take off work. Pfft. Our team had I think 12 people and we raised over $800, so it was successful. Summer walked, but Hill didn't think she could. Anyway, it was a beautiful...absolutely gorgeous day for them. www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=629853&id=1317281896
