Hey MG, hate asking all the time, but I was watching Andrew Lloyd Webbers fiftieth birthday bash the other day and a group called Boyzone sang, and I think this is the correct title, "No matter what they tell us", very nice, so was wondering .................... any chance?

Thanks again champ, got your latest, exactly the one I was after. Seeing as how you've twisted my arm, here's a stack more requests ................ well one more to be precise. Goes back a ways, song is called "Mississippi" and I think it was performed by a group of the same name, though not 100% sure on that. If that's a bit vague don't worry about it, though I reckon if anybody can track down a song it's certainly you.

Did I ever send you this request, Katman? Nope, not yet MG; I've rushed to check my E-Mail every day for the past two months and not a thing there [ except flammin' ads ] you can imagine how crushed I am. ;D Not to worry, figured it just slipped under the radar.

Well, after much consideration, I've decided to forgive you MG .................... this time, just make sure it doesn't happen again, right. Think it's arriving even as I write this, so it won't be long and I'll be ...........

Katman, was that the correct recording of "Mississippi"? I doubt that it is, so I will keep looking...

Katman, was that the correct recording of "Mississippi"? I doubt that it is, so I will keep looking... You're right MG, it was a different one [ very nice all the same thanks ] Don't go to any bother trying to track down the one I was talking about, tried to find it myself but had no luck. I could have sworn it was by a group called Mississippi, and I found a group by that name, but no mention of that particular recording, so I'm really not sure. I'll keep looking, but don't fancy my chances somehow.

Cool idea; wish I had thought of it. I think I would be good at it. Although it might interfear with my gig at the skating rink. After hosting a little skating party at the local rink this past Saturday, Mary and I have decided that we need to invest in buying and rennovating the whole thing. The whole place was filthy, it was 110 degrees, the music sucked, the decorations were lame, and the topper--$9 a person for a little crackerjack box of a party room (120 degrees in there), two pitchers of soda, and what was suppose to be a personal pan pizza for everyone. It was worse than one of those .69 budget deals from the grocery. Flat, no toppings, and burnt on the bottom. Then they didn't accept debit cards at the end; I had to leave and go get cash. (I walked around in KMart long enough to cool my body temp). Anyway, I'll be your friendly DJ. We'll have theme nights and sessions devoted to certain varieties of music...strobe lights, lots of neon, contests, etc....you get the picture! (Sounds of rambling daydreams.... )

"Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs."
Don't you do this already? <smile> But dang, it'd be nice to get paid for it, wouldn't it?
I'm there! (Country nights I'll be wearing ear-plugs) Remember those after-school skating parties at the Rink; that's what the name of our local skating rink was called: The Rink. Had my first kiss during a "couples skate". I wiped out immediately afterwards.

Alrighty, I went to a Michelle Malone concert and will post my findings here. I have a link to a viewing of her at a hot hot house concert. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6r-lI1XFEYAnd here is my synopsis; Well, shoot, MM said she saw a few new folks in the audience and that we didn't know what we were in for."Pfffft," I thought. She was right-it's all a blur. Here is my failed playlist; 1. Flagpole 2. After attempting to get to her concert for a year, and through death, destruction and construction, it was too much and I passed out, hitting my wine glass. 3. My pal spritzed me with tonic and I then I told my pal I forgot my camera and then Malone played Camera. MM asked for shout-outs...right, I was just glad to be there. Plus, I am way to shy, maybe I should put a sticky note on the mike next time. 4. Lafayette 5. Preachers Daughter. She said "Watch me now" but didn't tell us we had to have Chameleon eyes to watch her. It was impossible. Left hand or right? Hello? The left was sliding and fingers were whipping along like drumming on a desk. The right hand was picking, plinking, poinging, zinging and strumming. I don't even know what her head was doing. Give me a break. Then strings started breaking off and then guitars started passing by; black, wood and the Supro; in came the harmonica; a guitar started to smoke and warp from the friction and I think I passed out again. I am so glad someone put me out in the alley for air. 6. I think I heard Grace, I am not sure. I will get the bar napkin for notes next time. 7. Route 66 and Tighten Up the Springs 8.Some new heartbreak song-Where is the Love?- which caught me by surprise. All of a sudden my chest felt like it was being squeezed and my gut had that kicked feeling. I managed to keep it together by staring down a candle and trying my Ohhhmmm, mantra (try that at a rock concert). MM wiped away a tear at the end of that one. 8. Two old songs of here, no idea what they were, besides great. My pal had her hair blown back in the best possible way, as Elise would say, right from the start. A new fan. After the show I gave her my beloved Devil Moon CD, so I have to get a new one. I felt shredded the day after like a get-out-of-my-way freight train had rolled through me. I actually felt down-the wine glass "O" ring embedded on my forehead didn't help. And then, listening to my new 20/20 on the way home I got to Beyond the Mountain, I think it is called, and was then, travelin' while unraveling-I just let it all out, as that song pegged some stuff for me. But after a while, I felt much better. Music is good for getting in touch with.....stuff. I had no idea that I was in for a "strumming my faith with his fingers" kinda concert. Yikes. Oh, I almost forgot, her Supro guitar was there, glowing in the back. It has some reflective mother-of-pearl or abalone shell inlay. Its sound is awesome. I have heard that sound in a song but I cannot remember it right now; something like the song "Wild Thing". It sounds like wowowowow when it plays-more reverberations. It took me 3 days to recover. Shew. What an experience. Hopefully, it will be a lot easier on me next time. And, actually, the crowd was mellow, like the Indigo concert. I would like to see MM with a rowdy dance crowd.
