Oooo, thanks, Marysgurl. Listening to "Falling" now before heading out to work. I'll give the others a listen to later - thinking this is a cd I need to have. Always loved Staind, and you're right - their sound is their own. And damn - bonus - the melt-me raspy sexy killer voice that just does something for me.
Which is why I'm probably so entralled with "One Lonely Visitor". The voice a bit different, but still hot. IMO, of course. Love the cresendos in that song, from soft and gentle to loud.
Ah well...song is over, and I've got to get.
Enjoy the day.

Ok...that does it; running out to buy this cd today. Thanks for the preview, Marysgurl. I only hope Wal-mart doesn't ruin it too badly, (they tend to edit out the oddest things).
Hubs, on the other hand, did not listen to my warnings that the new Nickelback...well...sucked, IMO, and bought the cd. Sigh....such a fine whine; ruined and wasted on a bunch of so-so or just plain icky songs.
Another two for the snow-glide: "Colors" by Crossfade, and "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog. I am so looking forward to hearing this finished product.

Morning buddy....did you get rained out on your glide this fine day?? We are finally getting the wetness here....it's not so bad for me...calming, soft, gentle rain lulling me off towards sleepyland....cool breezes tenderly dancing with the curtains, as well as aiding in recarpeting the lawn with a new layer of beautiful yellows & reds....yeah, I'm definitely lovin it this morning!..................... Whoops, kinda got "off topic" there for a sec..... So, I'm sensing this is more of a "coast" rather than a glide?? It will be awesome, I'm sure!! Keep them coming...at least 17-18 per disc; if we run over, I'll just have to make two!!

Nope, Marysgurl...the slide is a glide and not a coast...except down the hills of course. It's very different than roller-skiing though: Roller-skiing is always fast; I love to push it to the limit and the "Drives" are perfect. The cross-country glide is completely governed by the snow: a thin layer of crunch on top - fast; the kind I like best. Or wet and thick, (oh god, oh god, oh god...I like that too, of course...uhm, I need to stop, don't I?), or powder - those two are much slower.
And I know I've said it before, but scenery, the physical activity, the music; it all works together, and when the music is just right, it becomes effortless. Picking slower songs for the Slide because I've got nothing - not a complete cd - that will allow me to achieve that effortless state in the slower conditions.
Babble, babble; I'll be going now.
And oh - today the glide was effortless; Hard, fast and all out...except for a minor collision or three with snakes.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled topic.

How about putting up a sigh here ladies, impressionable young fella visiting ya know. I come to check out the music and find an X rated thread instead, thought I'd stumbled into the middle of "that" scene from "When Harry met Sally" for a moment. ;D

Oh man, gams, I just found the pm where you requested "Lonely Road" by Everlast....I couldn't find it for shit when I was making the Slide, so my other two fav Everlast songs made it & that one didn't....damn! Guess I'll just have to make another.... What's a gurl to do?

No worries about "Lonely Road", Marysgurl; I'm sure the ones you picked will work perfectly.
And speaking of perfect...uhm...are you hinting at another? Wouldn't mind at all if you did, you know....but of course, in no way am I hinting that I'd ask you to go to all that trouble. (rolls eyes)
Love the Shinedown tune; never been too keen on Nine Inch Nails though; maybe just a song here or there - too much of the techno sound or something.
And here's one....I know you've heard before, but listen again...check out the beat. You know how much I love the all-out-leave-you-exhausted-with-quivering-thighs-and-covered-in-sweat glides, slides, and uhm...rides: Comfortable Liar by Chevelle. Is this too perfect or what?

See, I went with NIN instead of Shinedown because I was thinking you were switching out your wheels....did you decide to keep them? Definitely have to force myself to drag another one together.....
