Pretty much, yes. I'm not a member of YouTube, but I think you have options to add ads to your videos, and you make your money when viewers click on those links. The videos you upload to profit off of have to be your original, copyrighted works. You can't make money off of other people's copyrighted stuff. (Not that you would, but some do try. Some people will pirate anything they think they can profit from, sad to say.)
