Cool beans, buddy! I like not playing by any rules...living on the edge, so to speak Ok, here we go..... I am female with over 50 films to my credit. My career started in late 40's & my last appearance was in 2005-not quite a year after my death. I am tied to an acting family & my most memorable role lasted only 45 minutes. Show me whatcha got, katman!

Show me whatcha got, katman! Same here mate, live dangerously and let the chips fall where they may is my motto. Let's see now, you've started with a toughie, first thought was Jessica Tandy, but pretty sure she passed a lot further back then 04, plus started her career earlier then the late 40's I reckon. Tried thinking of all the acting families but nobody fitted your clues except one that finally came to me. The "most memorable role" that lasted just 45 minutes [ which had me scratching my head for a while ] was what eventually twigged me to her name, if I'm not mistaken you came to a rather gruesome end in that particular film, enough to turn you off going to motels forever. Would you be ....................... Janet Leigh?

That was excellent, my worthy opponent! And you said it was a tuffie! BTW, have I told you I love this game! Ya gotta get up early in the morning to stump me on anything about films pilgrim, and of course having said that I'll probably go crashing down in flames on the next one. Glad you like it, should be a lot of fun, especially for film tragics like us. Okay, time to roll your sleeves up [ if you have any ] and solve this .................... I'm a "character" from a film, I was greviously wronged at the beginning of said film, and turned from my peace loving ways to set out on a path of bloody retribution. P.S. No, I'm not Xena.

Did you have a leading lady? There were several women in the film, and one who could fit that description, but no real leading lady so to speak [ hope that hasn't confused you further ] Hint, I started my quest for retribution alone, but teamed up with an eclectic group of characters along the way, one of them not human.

Fraid not GP, you're thinking of "Every Which Way but Loose" I think, the non human in this film is a bit smaller, and more common then Clyde.
You're in the ballpark in one way though, I'll tell you that.

Oh man I thought I was close...but I did have another guess but was not sure about the non human attribute...so maybe I just can't remember...So I am sticking with my Eastwood theme and picking josey wales from The Outlaw Josey Wales...
am I even in the ballpark?
