You mean I was right, well how about that. ;D Okay, see how you go with this one. I'm an actor, you'll have to go a long way back to find me, and I mean a "long" way. I had a son who followed in my footsteps, but with only moderate success, mainly in the genre that I'm best remembered for. I am unrecognisable in many of my films. A film was made about my life, in which I was portrayed by an Oscar winning actor.

Yep, certainly did, quiet a few actually, including one very well known one. I'm best remembered for my work in that particular genre, and remember, we're talking about the early days of movies.

Could he have been the only actor to have played all four of the classic movie monsters??
Lon Chaney Jr?

I'll give you that MG, near enough's good enough, I'm actually Lon Chaney Sr. My clues may have been a little misleading, I wasn't in as many horror films as I thought, so you'll have to forgive me [ hopefully ] You can pick a hard one next to get your own back if ya like.

By the way....have I mentioned how much I love this game?! Errr, yeah, think you may have, once or twice. That makes two of us by the way. Think I got a bit confused with Bela Lugosi on that last one, he was the one who played Dracula, among a host of other horror characters, well picked on your part MG.

Ok, here we go..... For the season.... This actor was born on December 25, 1899 & just so happens one of my favorite Christmas videos is one of his last films....an unconventional Christmas story about "heavenly bodies with no halos"... I was voted the "Best Movie Star of All Time" by Entertainment Weekly & shared a fierce passionate love with my very famous movie actress wife....our love being made reference to in a song from the 80's about a spot off the tip of Florida.... If you don't know me by now, it's probably because you can't understand the clues I'm giving due to my "lisp" when I speak..... Too easy, I know....

Could you have been married to the sultry Lauren Bacall, starred in We're no Angels, and be named Sam Spade, aka ................
Humphrey Bogart.

That would be the guy!! I'm beginning to think I'll never be able to slow you down at this game! Maybe it's the clues...too easy, you think? Perhaps it's just your vast knowledge of the catagory....I don't know.... Anywho, I enjoy the game & I love playing with you! Your turn, "Master K"

Think it's more down to your clues then my "vast knowledge" MG, your knowledge of film is every bit as good as my own, but I'm sure it won't be long before I run headlong into a stone wall, and really have to get my thinking cap on.
Here's a fairly easy one [ I think ] to go on with. I'm a character from a film, several films to be precise, and though I work for law enforcement I don't mind bending, and even at times breaking, the rules, to make sure I get the filth off the streets.
My first case involved tracking down a psycho killer. My advice to anyone thinking of becoming my partner is to think again, because they don't seem to live very long after teaming up with me.

Anywho, I enjoy the game & I love playing with you! Thanks MG, I feel exactly the same, the game itself is only half the fun, it's having someone like yourself to play it with that makes it so great.

Let's see, Mr. Dirty Harry Callahan has little regard for rules...could it be he?

Ok, sweetie, here we go....
This "regular guy" actor had a 100 or so films to his credit ranging from westerns to nice-guy, shy types to Hitchcock.
Other than Ronald Reagan, who was Commander-in-Chief as President, he has the highest military ranking of any actor in history & was the first actor to enter WWII. He was also a Boy Scout & appeared in a series of award-winning commercials to promote the Scouts.
He was married to one woman only his entire life & altho he shyed away from the glamour & glitz of Hollywood, vanity compelled him to wear a toupee for most of his latter films. He won one Oscar & was awarded one honorary Oscar. Of all the films he starred in, his favorite one was based on one we all love as a holiday classic.
He is one of my favorite actors with one of my favorite movies one where he is in disguise for most of the film....in hiding...amongst an all-star ensemble cast, one being Charlton Heston....
Have I said too much already? I can't help it....there is just too many good things to say about this guy....I could go on & on....

Ummm, lets see now, could you be Brad Pitt, naw, don't think so, pretty sure Brad hasn't taken to wearing a toupee as yet. This part ................"he is in disguise for most of the film....in hiding...amongst an all-star ensemble cast, one being Charlton Heston" .................. threw me for a moment, first film I thought of was "The List of Adrian Messenger", but was pretty sure Heston or your guy weren't in that, then of course it hit me, the one where the make-up department went a bit overboard.
Awww shucks, could you be ..............
James [ Jimmy ] Stewart.

I am obviously making this too easy....I can't stop once I start with the clues. I actually didn't know all the military part about Mr Jimmy---thought that was kinda cool. "The Greatest Show on Earth"---early 50's I think. I love that movie--especially the cast; what a collection...& the way they all come together when the chips are down--just the way Cecil D. believed the circus to truely be...."a machine with many well-oiled parts" Your turn, my friend!! (& worthy opponent.... )

Yeah, very nice guy, both on and off screen, joined the U.S Air force at the beginning of hostilities, even though he probably didn't have to. You'll have to ratchet up the degree of difficulty MG, be like me, ruthless, go straight for the jugular. ;D
